Shoreline Community College announced today that Aaron Howe will be the next SCC Men's Soccer Coach. Howe replaces Steven Neff who coached the team for one season.
Howe will remain the SCC Women's Soccer Coach as well. Coach Howe has led the Lady Dolphins to a 18-13-9 record over the past two seasons, finishing 8-7-5 in 2011, tied for 3rd place in the NWAACC Northern Region and 10-6-4 in 2012, tying for second in the region and defeating Highline CC 1-0 in the first round of the NWAACC Playoffs before losing to Clackamas CC in overtime 1-0 in the NWAACC Quarterfinals.
Howe coached the Pierce College men's soccer team to the NWAACC playoffs in the past as part of his soccer resume.
SCC Men's Soccer made the NWAACC Final Four in 2010, before falling to 2-16-1 in 2011 under long time coach, George Dremousis. Dremousis left SCC to take the job at Trinity Lutheran College in Everett, WA after the 2011 season. In 2012, the Dolphins were 0-15-1 under Coach Neff.
Coach Howe will begin his duties immediately, as the NWAACC signing period for new recruits for both men's and women's soccer begins on January 15.
