Employee Bio

Linda Forst is a retired Captain from Boca Raton (FL) Police Services Department. She worked in patrol, investigations (crimes against person investigator), training, recruiting and hiring, internal affairs and support services. Most of her career was spent in patrol including 3 years as Commander of 100 personnel included patrol, special ops, traffic, marine patrol, K-9, and tactical operations.  Captain Forst worked with a State Legislator to update the Sexual Battery Statute and to write Florida's Stalking Law in 1992.  She served on the Board of Directors of the Domestic Violence Shelter in Palm Beach County.  In 1994, she was awarded the “outstanding Community Service” by the community.  Dr. Forst is a member of ACJS, IAWP, NAWLEE, IACP and WASPC.  She spends her time competing in triathlons, and running and cycling events. She is the author of many articles, and policing textbooks and wrote her dissertation on acquaintance rape.

Edward Golden is an online instructor for Social Science Criminal Justice with thirty-four (34) years law enforcement experience focusing on teaching information on investigations, interviews, record search, property inspections, report writing and court room testimony. He worked at NYPD for more than (20) years, retire from NYPD with the rank of Detective Sergeant. At NYPD as a Patrol Officer, Undercover Assignments, Detective Investigator, Homicide Investigations, Homicide Apprehension Teams, Patrol Sergeant Supervisor, Internal Affairs Investigations Supervisor, Investigative Sergeant Detective Supervisor for the NYPD Organized Crime Control Bureau, performed in the 2001 thru 2004 NYPD’s Anti-Terrorist Undercover Investigation Campaigns.
He worked at the Everett Police Department thirteen (13) years, as a Patrol Officer, School Resource Officer and Crime Prevention Officer, recognized as a local – state – international award 2011 Webber Seavey Award - International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP).
