Employee BioLinda Forst is a retired Captain from Boca Raton (FL) Police Services Department. She worked in patrol, investigations (crimes against person investigator), training, recruiting and hiring, internal affairs and support services. Most of her career was spent in patrol including 3 years as Commander of 100 personnel included patrol, special ops, traffic, marine patrol, K-9, and tactical operations. Captain Forst worked with a State Legislator to update the Sexual Battery Statute and to write Florida's Stalking Law in 1992. She served on the Board of Directors of the Domestic Violence Shelter in Palm Beach County. In 1994, she was awarded the “outstanding Community Service” by the community. Dr. Forst is a member of ACJS, IAWP, NAWLEE, IACP and WASPC. She spends her time competing in triathlons, and running and cycling events. She is the author of many articles, and policing textbooks and wrote her dissertation on acquaintance rape.
Education & TrainingDr. Forst earned her Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate in from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton while working as a police officer. She is a graduate of University of Louisville’s Sex Crime Investigation School, Northwestern University’s School of Police and Command, and Outward Bound.
