Employee Bio

Linda Filippi is a graduate of Shoreline Community College with her nursing degree.  She was a surgical nurse at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett until her retirement in 2018.  She has a passion for teaching the next generations of nurses utilizing evidence-based education practices that engage students to "think like a nurse."  Her research includes flipped classroom vs. traditional lecture and team-based learning, as well as other active learning strategies.
Linda is certified as a medical surgical registered nurse, a delirium champion, mentor champion, and palliative care trainer.  She is a member of the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses, National League of Nursing, Washington State Nurses Association,  American Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International, Psi-at-Large Chapter.
