Professor Tuncap was born in Guam & raised in Tacoma. He has worked in education & philanthropy for 20 years. Professor Tuncap has taught at in the college of education at UW Tacoma, Ethnic Studies at UC Berkeley, Inter Disciplinary Studies at City College of San Francisco, Humanities at SPSCC, Diversity at Green River College, Diversity at Highline College, English at TCC, Humanities at Pierce, Sociology at Northwest Indian College, & English forThe Evergreen State College, Shoreline Community College, TRIO UB at Lincoln HS, Mt. Tahoma HS., Foss HS, Clover Park HS.
Earned his M.A from UC Berkeley & his bachelor degrees from UW.
Co founder of the WA State Diversity Equity in Hiring & Prof Development. Serves on WA State Faculty and Staff of Color Conference Committee. Recipient of the 2017 WA State Emerging Leader Award
