Employee Bio

Tim Wright began teaching United States history at Shoreline Community College in 2007 as an associate faculty. Over the intervening years he has also taught Pacific Northwest and Native American history as well as Western Civilizations and Introduction to Multicultural Studies. He has served on numerous committees and workgroups, including the Strategic Planning/Budget Council, the Joint Union Management Committee, and the Communications, Marketing and Community Engagement Steering Committee. In July 2018 he was appointed as acting dean of the Business, Communication Studies, and Social Sciences Division.
Prior to his career in higher education, Tim worked as a newspaper reporter and editor, an insurance claims adjuster, and a corporate editor and communication specialist.
Originally from California, Tim began his college career at College of the Canyons in the Santa Clarita Valley in Southern California. He has a BA in journalism and MA in history.
