Employee Bio

Trista Baldwin is a native of the Seattle area who has lived and worked throughout the U.S., including NYC and Minneapolis, where she was an Associate Professor of English, Theatre, and Film Studies at St. Cloud State University.  She holds an MFA in creative writing from Arizona State University and a BA from The Evergreen State College  An award-winning playwright, Trista Baldwin has had over twenty plays produced Off-Broadway, regionally, and internationally.  Locally her work has been produced and developed by Seattle Repertory Theatre, Seattle Children's Theater, Live Girls!, and VRT.  She has taught playwriting at the University of Washington and has taught at SCC since 2019.  In addition to teaching writing, Trista Baldwin has a background in editing and copywriting for a variety of for-profit and non-profit companies.
